Tuesday,President Trump issued an executive order on Climate Change that rescinds more than half a dozen federal regulations. Nebraska Farmers Union President John Hansen calls it a sweeping and regressive order that reverses years of national efforts to begin to deal with the very real impacts of Climate Change.

South Dakota Farm Bureau President Scott VanderWal says the Executive Order eliminates unneeded costs that have a small impact on improving the environment.

Hansen says there are only a couple of things that can be done to reverse the Executive Order, one being court action and the other being a new Executive Order.

VanderWal says the major goal of the climate change steps taken by the previous administration was just about control and creating costs, not benefitting the environment.

EPA administrator Scott Pruitt says the President’s Executive Order sets a new course that is both pro jobs and pro environment.
