NCGA Board member and South Dakota Corn Grower’s President Keith Alverson says Enlist Duo is needed to help growers tackle resistant weeds on farms across the country.
He says NCGA and the other farm groups took issue with the EPA’s reference to additional and new data in their decision to reevaluate Enlist Duo.
Alverson says the delays in approving Enlist Duo have led to more intense weed control practices that complicate environmental management.
Signing onto the letter to the EPA were the National Corn Growers, American Soybean Association, American Farm Bureau, National Farmers Union and National Cotton Council.
