South Dakota lawmakers return to Pierre next Tuesday for the beginning of their 2015 session. Everything gets going on Tuesday following the Governor’s State of the State address. South Dakota Farmers Union’s Legislative Director Matt Sibley says the first issue likely to surface is one of their priorities and that’s transportation funding. He says there needs to be fixes made to the interim committee’s proposal.
Sibley says whatever legislators decide to do with infrastructure, it’s an issue that effects everyone whether you’re a farmer or rancher or not.
Sibley says the other two legislative issues his group is pushing for is the watershed bill and a change in the redistricting method
