Late last week, Minnesota Farmers Union President Gary Wertish testified in front of the State House Tax Committee in support of Section 179 tax conformity bills.

He says both measures made it out of the committee and were sent forward to the full House.

Wertish says the same measures were approved last session but got vetoed. He says there’s a better chance of them getting passed this time around because they’re not tied to a larger piece of legislation.

The Minnesota Soybean Grower’s Association is also backing the tax conformity legislation.
