House Appropriation Chairman Harold Rogers is pushing forward a measure to block funding to keep the Environmental Protection Agency from implementing a proposed Clean Water Act Rule.  South Dakota Farm Bureau President Scott Vanderwal says that’s a positive initial step but more needs to be done to stop the rule from going forward.

Vanderwal says if the proposed Clean Water Act rule of Waters of the U.S. is approved it would expand EPA’s authority to regulate even small pools of water on farms and ranches.

He is hoping there’s enough public comment given that will stop EPA dead in their tracks on their proposed rule.
