A recent Farm Journal survey of the nation’s farmers gives President Donald Trump a very high rating. The approval number is at 79 percent. South Dakota Farm Bureau President Scott VanderWal says he’s not surprised by the survey results and says it fits with the past rating farmers have given the President on agriculture.
He says Trump has helped support farmers and ranchers in several ways including in reducing onerous regulations and helping out biofuels.
VanderWal says another major accomplishment of the President was in helping producers deal with weather challenges this year.
VanderWal says he’s hoping the next win Trump will get for agriculture is getting Congress to ratify the USMCA trade agreement before the end of the year.
