Nebraska Farm Bureau members want to see trade deals reached with both the European Union and the United Kingdom. However, any possible deal with the U.K. may be unattainable due to the unknowns with Brexit. Plus, E.U. Ministers say they want to exclude agriculture from the trade talks with the U.S. Nebraska Farm Bureau Director of National Affairs Jordan Dux says that is a non-starter.
He says every trade agreement the U.S. has negotiated has included agriculture.

Dux says the E.U. already has trade deals with other countries, like Canada and Japan, that include agriculture.
Recently U.K. Prime Minister Teresa May, who has favored her country leaving the E.U., received a no confidence vote leaving any possible bilateral trade deal in limbo.
