The Environmental Protection Agency is one of the groups that is hailing President Obama’s Clean Energy Plan released Monday as historic and achievable. South Dakota Farm Bureau President, Scott Vanderwal says they’ve been expecting this for some time but aren’t in favor of the plan.

Vanderwal says the negative impacts of the plan could hit South Dakota hard, and will effect the state’s power and jobs.

Vanderwal says a thorough analysis of the plan needs to be done.

Under the President’s plan, states’ have until 2030 to come into compliance with carbon reductions.
