Farm Bureau Sets Policy On Cattle Markets, Trade And Broadband

Policy passed by American Farm Bureau members at their virtual convention last week included a push for more competitive and transparent cattle markets, trade and broadband expansion. Nebraska Farm Bureau President Mark McHargue says getting more competitive cattle markets is one of the priorities brought by Nebraska Farm Bureau members that become part of AFBF policy.

He says their trade policy calls for expanding market opportunities for America’s farmers and ranchers.

McHargue says they also want the Biden administration to look at the possibility of re-entering the Trans Pacific Partnership now known as the Comprehensive TPP. He says Farm Bureau is also anxious to work with the President elect on broadband and expanding the access for that in rural areas.

McHargue and five other Nebraska Farm Bureau State Board members served as delegates at this year’s American Farm Bureau convention.
