Over 400 former employees of the Environmental Protection Agency are pushing the U.S. Senate not to confirm Scott Pruitt to head the agency. However, the American Farm Bureau continues to back Pruitt for the job. Nebraska Farm Bureau National Affairs Coordinator Jordan Dux says Pruitt is still the right pick mainly because of his stance to scale back any federal overreach done by the agency.

He says he’s not surprised that former EPA employees who were used to developing and implementing stringent regulations came out opposed to Pruitt.

Dux says his group is still hoping for quick confirmation of Pruitt.

Dux says his group was reassured when Pruitt testified in support of the RFS and said he would continue to fight back regulations like WOTUS and the greenhouse gas rules.
