Farm Bureau President Likes Idea Of Additional Tax Reform

Congressional Republicans are planning to bring forward an additional tax reform measure possibly during the lame duck session. House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady is looking to end uncertainty and overcome funding limitations that left businesses and farmers with only temporary breaks. South Dakota Farm Bureau President Scott VanderWal sees that plan as a positive for agriculture.

He says with all the uncertainty agriculture is now going through having a solution in the form of more tax reform would come at a good time.

VanderWal thinks having it brought up during the lame duck session is a good time to approach that measure.

Congressional Republicans are hoping to make this second tax reform package permanent.
