The North Dakota 2021 Legislative Session is now in the books and there were several positive measures approved that will benefit farmers and ranchers. That’s according to North Dakota Farm Bureau’s Public Policy Director Pete Hannebut. He says their legislature meets every two years and they were able to make sure a bill was defeated that would have had the legislature meet every year.

He says another major win for agriculture was legislation that helps protect private property.

Hanebutt says state lawmakers approved an important drainage bill that will be beneficial for farmers and ranchers.

Hanebutt says his group was also happy to see legislators approve measures allowing for electronic posting on hunting and a change in state code that will help livestock development.
