Farm Bureau Leader Sees Hope For Ratification Of USMCA

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says although they’re not there yet with an agreement on ratification of the USMCA trade pact, she is optimistic Democrats concerns can be resolved. That offers a hope that the ratification can go forward according to South Dakota Farm Bureau President Scott VanderWal.

He says Congress must be careful how they handle the ratification process and it is important they approve the USMCA because it’s a positive deal for America’s farmers and ranchers.

VanderWal says the USMCA should be one of the easier trade agreements to complete.

There are still several steps and economic reviews that must be done before the USMCA can be completed fully by the U.S. government.
