This week the South Dakota Board of Regents chose SDSU Ag Dean Dr. Barry Dunn to be the new President for the Brookings University. South Dakota Farm Bureau President Scott VanderWal is pleased with the Regent’s decision and says it will benefit both the University and Agriculture.

He expects President Dunn to be able to assist with the efforts in hiring his replacement at Dean of Agriculture.

VanderWal says Dunn brings great skills to the President’s job and will be able to hit the ground running.

Dunn replaces Dr. David Chicoine who retires this summer. Chicoine will remain at SDSU as a professor.
