Farm Bureau Leader Hopes Appeals Court Rules Against The Affordable Care Act

A Federal Appeals Court for the Fifth Circuit is scheduled to begin hearing oral arguments on the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act on July 9. Earlier this week the appellate court questioned whether more than a dozen Democratic states and the U.S. House have the right to appeal the lower court ruling that struck down the ACA. South Dakota Farm Bureau President Scott VanderWal says he’s pleased that throws the laws future into question. He says their policy opposes the ACA.

He says the health care problem needs fixing and his group will be watching to see what happens with the July 9 court hearing.

VanderWal won’t be surprised if health care becomes a major issue in the upcoming Presidential election.

The Trump administration and 18 Republican led states are defending the lower court decision that ruled all of the Affordable Care Act unconstitutional.
