Nebraska will be needing a new State Agriculture Director should present director Greg Ibach be confirmed as a USDA Undersecretary. State Farm Bureau President Steve Nelson is pleased Ibach’s been nominated by the President for that job and is hoping he gets quick confirmation by the Senate. Nelson expects Governor Pete Ricketts to appoint a new State Ag Director once Ibach is confirmed.

He says his group wants to help in the process for choosing a new State Ag Director.

Nelson says whoever replace Ibach at the State Ag Director position will have to have a number of skills to be able to do a good job.

Nelson says Ibach has been outstanding as Nebraska’s Ag Director and if confirmed will also do a good job at USDA.
