Farm Bureau Backs Rollback Of Federal Regulations

The new Congress is expected to begin work soon on rolling back several regulations put in place by the Obama administration. Those include the Regulations from the Executive in need of Scrutiny or REINS Act, and the Waters of the U.S. Rule. South Dakota Farm Bureau President Scott VanderWal says his group backs repeal of both of those regulations.

He says if Congress can rollback WOTUS, it would be beneficial as they would not have to spend money in the courts to get rid of it.

VanderWal says another regulation that needs repealing is the Clean Power Plan.

VanderWal thinks there’s a good chance Congress can make progress on those rollbacks. He expects President-elect Trump to back the action since he endorsed it during his campaign.
