President Trump’s legislative priority is for Congress to address health care reform first and then work on a tax reform package. South Dakota Farm Bureau President Scott VanderWal agrees with the President’s agenda.

He says the prime focus of tax reform must be repeal of the estate tax.

VanderWal says another important part of a new tax plan should be centered around making the tax code simpler.

VanderWal says his group has been waiting a long time for Congress to rework the nation’s tax code and at least now they’re talking about it. However, he says it will take a lot of work for federal legislators to come together on a deal.
