Farm and biofuels groups are backing key provisions in the Build Back Better Act. The Biofuel Infrastructure and Agriculture Product Market Expansion provision will provide nearly $1 billion to upgrade refueling and distribution infrastructure for higher biofuels blends. South Dakota Corn Growers Association Past President Doug Noem says that will help ensure consumers have consistent access to higher level ethanol and biodiesel blends.

Noem says this is one of the biggest investments the government has made in biofuels infrastructure in history.

Growth Energy Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Chris Bliley says they’re hopeful the infrastructure and other provisions supportive to biofuels will make it through on the final budget reconciliation bill.

In a letter to the chairs of the House and Senate Ag Committees, the groups say they appreciate the efforts to expand biofuels production with the $1 billion infrastructure program and other key biofuels provisions in the bill.
