The Climate Stewardship Act has been reintroduced in both Houses of Congress. The Family Farm Action Alliance is supporting the legislation. Alliance President Joe Maxwell says the Climate Stewardship Act will help farmers and ranchers be able to withstand challenges brought by climate change.

He says the Climate Stewardship Act provides incentives for producers in battling climate change.

Maxwell says the Climate Stewardship Act will assist those new and beginning farmers as well as those farmers who are socially disadvantaged.

Maxwell says positive provisions in the legislation include voluntary incentives for conservation, renewable energy and local food system programs.
