South Dakota State Fair officials and others are working on a major project to replace the State Fair’s livestock complex which was destroyed by an October fire. That’s the main priority for newly elected State Fair Commission Chairman Faron Wahl of Sioux Falls.

He says fundraising for the new complex is in the early stages and their hope is to have it funded and the new facility up and running 2022.

Wahl says State Fair officials are working on putting together contingency plans for how to handle livestock shows at the 2021 State Fair while the complex project is going on.

Wahl says anyone wanting more information on the South Dakota State Fair or the Livestock Complex project can go to their website at SD STATE FAIR. Com.
