The Blue Ribbon Task Force on Education in South Dakota is now into the fact checking phase of the process.

The task force was appointed by Governor Dennis Daugaard to look into education funding issues, especially related to teacher pay.

Sutton says the information they got from the Commission on Education at their last meeting on the state of school budgets doesn’t add up…

 

A group of legislators has called for a special session next month to address education issues. Sutton says that undercuts the work the task force is doing…

 

The next task force meeting is set for August 19 at the Capitol Visitor Center in Pierre.
