The Yankton City Commission approved a façade improvement program for the downtown business area at their last meeting.
City Manager Amy Nelson says the program came out of discussions with the historic downtown group….
The city would put fifteen thousand dollars into the grant program, which Nelson says would need to be matched on a fifty – fifty basis……
Community Development Director Dave Mingo told the commission that they have modeled the program after those in other cities…..
The program was approved unanimously by the commission.
