The Nebraska Economic Forecasting Advisory Board projects that the state will see two hundred sixty-six million dollars in tax revenue above earlier estimates. Under state law, about one hundred sixty million dollars of that would go to the states cash reserve fund.

A petition drive is underway to put a constitutional amendment on next years ballot that would roll back property taxes by thirty five percent. Ricketts says that would cause major issues….
