South Dakota State University Extension is continuing their Drought Webinars with the next one set for Monday. Extension Crops Business Management Fields Specialist Jack Davis will be talking about crop and forage prices producers are dealing with this month.

He says the availability of hay is scarce and what is there is costly. Davis says it becomes a challenge when producers have to travel long distances and try to ship that hay back to their operation as that becomes an added cost.

Davis says producers need to stay on top of their inventories and try to manage it they best they can to get through the winter.

The webinar Monday runs from 11 am until Noon. For more information go to the SDSU Extension website.
