Executive Session Changes Proposed

The Yankton City Commission will discuss a possible change to how executive sessions are conducted. Under state law, local governments can hold closed meetings to discuss personnel, legal and contractual issues. No minutes of those closed sessions are required. Now, newly seated City Commissioner Nathan Johnson is proposing that the commission record those sessions, then open them only if a judge orders it.
