Environmental Working Group officials are disappointed with the recent direction of the Environmental Protection Agency. EWG Vice President of Communications and Strategic Campaigns Alex Formuzis says he sees an interesting twist with EPA administrator Scott Pruitt’s decision to do away with the ‘’Sue and Settle’’ policy.

He says the EPA needs to put forward tougher regulations in Rural America to protect the drinking water.

Formuzis says his group will weigh in with Congress as they write the new Farm Bill to make sure ag producers who receive federal payments implement conservation measures and work to protect drinking water.

Formuzis says it’s positive some farmers have followed best management practices and implemented conservation measures in order to protect the environment however there are some that haven’t.
