Last week, leaders of both Growth Energy and the Renewable Fuels Association met with the Office of Management and Budget and told them the RFS is working. Growth Energy’s Tom Buis says he told O-M-B there’s no reason for the EPA to set the Renewable Volume obligations below the levels specified in the law.

He expects the EPA not to delay on the release of the volume obligations but to come out with them by the end of the month.

Buis isn’t sure how the EPA will rule but is hoping they’ll listen to the comments of hundreds of thousands of those who have commented in favor of the statutory levels.

Both Buis and RFA CEO Bob Dinneen said their meeting with OMB was their closing argument before the administration makes its final decision.
