Ethanol Industry Reaction to Wheeler Confirmation at EPA

The ethanol industry is generally supportive of Andrew Wheeler’s confirmation as Environmental Protection Agency Administrator. However, American Coalition for Ethanol CEO Brian Jennings says the bar was set pretty low by former head Scott Pruitt.

He says they’ve worked well with Wheeler as Deputy EPA Administrator and in his acting role heading the agency and they like his background.

Jennings says Wheeler will also be more above board than Pruitt was on matters important to the renewable fuels industry.

Wheeler was confirmed as EPA Administrator by the Senate last week.
