The Environmental Protection Agency has sent their rewrite of the Waters of the U.S. Rule to the Office of Management and Budget for review. National Cattlemen’s Beef Associations Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Colin Woodall says they’ve been seeking a rollback of the Obama Era WOTUS and so they’re backing the new language.

He says the key to the rewritten WOTUS rule is how navigable waters are defined in the rules.

Woodall says once OMB reviews the WOTUS rewrite, it becomes a final rule.

Reviews at the Office of Management and Budget are limited to 90 days but there is no minimum time period for that review.
