The Environmental Protection Agency has released a report showing glyphosate or Roundup is safe and likely non-carcinogenic to humans. Crop Life America’s Senior Vice President of Science and Regulatory Affairs Janet Collins says it’s a very positive report, but not surprising. She says they would have liked to have seen the report out much earlier.

She doesn’t see anything negative about glyphosate that will come out from the EPA’s final review.

Collins thinks these initial findings will prompt EPA to re-register glyphosate going forward.

Collins says it’s good that both the industry and farmers weighed in with the EPA about the importance of this herbicide and the need to re-register it.
