Farmers are facing increased regulations, plus costly and continued supply chain disruptions. Those items will top the policy discussion at the South Dakota Soybean Association’s annual meeting next week in Sioux Falls. SDSA President Jordan Scott says they are concerned about EPA’s recent move to revert back to the pre-2015 Waters of the U.S. Rule while they rewrite the language, plus recent decisions on various herbicides like chlorpyrifos, atrazine and glyphosate.

He says farmers are also facing rising inputs costs, especially fertilizer, as a result of continued supply chain disruptions and tighter regulations.

Scott says they’ll be hosting a panel discussion with a cross section of farm groups to look at solutions to the current supply chain issues.

Then on Thursday, December 9 the 2021 Ag Outlook returns with a trade show and various educational seminars.

You can preregister for Ag Outlook at sdsoybean.org.
