The Environmental Protection Agency has sent a draft rule to allow year-round sale and use of E15 to the White House Office of Management and Budget. Minnesota Biofuels Association Executive Director Tim Rudnicki says he’s unsure if there’s enough time to get the rule finalized for the summer driving season.

He says allowing E15 use in the summer months is critical for Minnesota.

Rudnicki says he hasn’t seen the draft rule yet, but he’s concerned RIN reform is included in the language.

Rudnicki says RIN reform should be separate from E15 otherwise the federal government is just giving lip service to advancing renewable fuels.
