A report released this week by the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee reveals case studies showing the EPA is enforcing the WOTUS rule even though its stayed by the courts. National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Environmental Counsel Scott Yager says the report also shows the agency has regulated normal farm activities like plowing.

He says his group hopes the report will prompt Congress to pass legislation to stop the EPA from expanding their jurisdiction over all waters.

Yager thinks the Committee’s findings will lead to more Congressional oversight of the agency.

Yager says NCBA will continue to fight against the Waters of the U.S. rule, both in the courts and legislatively.
