One of the major issues for egg farmers in the United States is the need for Congress to ratify the U.S. Mexico Canada trade agreement. National Association of Egg Farmers President Ken Klippen says getting that approved would mean better prices for U.S. eggs.

Recently House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she wants to get USMCA done before Christmas. Klippen says he’s seeing support for the deal from some Democratic members of Congress.

Klippen thinks the USMCA could pass easily if the vote were taken right away.

Several editorial boards of various U.S. publications are calling for Congress to get going and get the USMCA over the finish line.
