There will be a number of education related issues in the 2015 session of the South Dakota legislature, and not all are related to funding.

Two legislators from District 18 appeared before the last meeting of the Yankton School Board.

Representative Mike Stevens says the lack of funding is driving most of the issues…

Stevens says he thinks there will be an attempt to equalize all of the local funds that schools receive across the state…

Senator-elect Bernie Hunhoff says school districts and legislators can’t pull apart…

Hunhoff says he is concerned about the divisions that  could develop…

The legislative session begins on January 14th.
