While South Dakota legislators should not have the intense debates over taxes and funding like last session, there will still be education issues on the table.
Representative Mike Stevens of Yankton spoke before the Yankton School Board Monday night………….

Legislators approved a half cent increase in the sales tax after a long debate. Those dollars went to schools for improved teacher pay.
Stevens says it was a difficult debate…..

Stevens says there will also be a large number of new legislators in the next session…..

Stevens will be Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, and a member of the Education Committee.
