There hasn’t been a bargain at the beef counter for a long, long time, but at the same time, many Nebraskans rely on the beef market for their income. Creighton University Economist Ernie Goss says it is hard to predict where this market will go.
Goss says this isn’t just a Nebraska or a Midwest problem.
Goss says Nebraska and Iowa together export about 12 to 13-billion dollars’ worth of food so this is significant. He expects in the short to intermediate term exports will struggle.
