Economic growth in Nebraska is predicted to slow by the end of the year.
Bureau of Business Research Director Eric Thompson with the University of Nebraska says current trade threats could become a factor
Thompson says business confidence remains strong. Manufacturing hours continue on the rise as does airline business.
Thompson says it appears the state economy will continue to grow through the year, just not at the pace it had been setting earlier in the year
Another trade factor is dragging down the state economy. The U.S. dollar is on the rise, making Nebraska exports more expensive overseas.
Business owners and managers still report they expect to increase sales and add to their employment.
