With the primary election Tuesday, absentee voting in Minnesota is at a record high. Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon says that’s likely because of hotly contested races and because more people are becoming aware of “no excuse” absentee voting, which means….
Early in-person voting is still available at county election offices and in some cities and towns through 5pm today. Minnesota voters have requested more than 195,000 absentee and mail ballots for the 2018 Statewide Primary election. That’s a 90-percent increase from requests in 2016 and ballots received are up 195-percent this year over 2016.
