As construction continues on new wells for the City of Yankton, on the north bank of the Missouri River, crews have been keeping an eye on an eagle nest in a tree on the Nebraska side of the river. City Manager Amy Nelson says the construction has apparently not been a problem for the birds.

Nelson says they think there are two young eagles in the nest.
She says they will continue to monitor the nest for a few weeks.

The well is part of the major upgrade to the city water treatment plant.
