Dakota Rural Action will be holding their third annual forum on Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations in Watertown on December 6. DRA Organizer Rebecca Terk says the purpose of the workshop is to train county officials so they better understand the permitting process for CAFOs.

She says they’ll talk about several topics including environmental and water issues.

Terk says DRA wants to assist the county officials in developing solid permit rules for their counties.

The free workshop runs December 6 from 10 am to 3:30 pm at the Codington County Extension Building. RSVP’s are needed by November 27 at 605—697-5204, extension 260.
