A pair of Minnesota Twins have earned recognition for their defense, being named winners of Gold Glove Awards for 2017.
Second baseman Brian Dozier and centerfielder Byron Buxton both earned their first Gold Glove awards for being the best at their position in the American League.
The last Twins second baseman to earn a Gold Glove was Chuck Knoblauch and the last Twins outfielder to win one was Torii Hunter.
Kansas City also had a pair of winners in first baseman Eric Hosmer and leftfielder Alex Gordon.
