A district court judge has ruled the State of Nebraska must disclose the source of the four drugs it plans to use in executions.
Nebraska ACLU Executive Director Danielle Conrad praises the decision. . .
Conrad says the ruling is vital in the ACLU’s attempts to monitor the steps taken to carry out executions. . .
Conrad says the records should be made public. The state argues releasing the records would lead to identification of the execution team. The judge ruled the state can keep the identity of team members secret, but must tell where it got the four drugs it plans to use in executions.
The attorney general’s office says it will appeal the decision.
