District 40 Candidates Debate

The two candidates for the District 40 Senate seat in the Nebraska Unicameral debated this week in Hartington.

Incumbent Senator Tyson Larson of O’Neill is being challenged by Keith Kube of Crofton.

One of the questions was school consolidation, and what the future held for small, rural districts.

Kube says the reasons for shrinking student numbers are pretty obvious…

 

Larson says the state has a responsibility to families and school districts…

 

Kube says there may have to be some compromises along the way…
