South Dakota legislators are getting their committee assignments for the 2015 session. Following the November election, there is a general reshuffling of members and chairmen.
District 17 Senator-elect Arthur Rusch of Vermillion has been appointed to the Agriculture, Health and Human Services and Judiciary Committees.
Rusch says he asked for the Judiciary spot.

Rusch, a retired Circuit Court Judge, says his experience could also work well on the Health and Human Services Committee.

Rusch says he anticipates the biggest issue in the 2015 session will be competing demands for limited dollars.
