The Association of American Pesticide Control Officials wants the Environmental Protection Agency to ban post emergence use of dicamba on soybeans. That would be devastating for farmers according to Minnesota farmer Bob Worth who recently chaired the state’s dicamba task force.

He says dicamba has been through rigorous and extensive testing prior to the EPA approving it and producers are being responsible as to how they apply it.

Worth says their task force also ironed out any drift issues with dicamba before working with state officials in getting it approved for use in Minnesota.

The American Pesticide Control Officials besides pushing for the post emergence ban also want label regulations for dicamba be conditional on a year by year basis. The group is voicing concern with complaints regarding use of the product.
