With the future of the Affordable Care Act very much at risk, eligible people are still signing up for the insurance coverage.
The incoming Trump Administration has said repealing the health insurance plan is a high priority.
In South Dakota, the sign up was further complicated when the two major insurance providers, Sanford, and Avera Health, said they would not cover services outside their systems.
Alexa Raymond, a Navigator with the Rural Office of Community Services in Lake Andes, says so far, the people she works with are finding the coverage they need….

Raymond says they are seeing usable insurance options……

Raymond says the cost of insurance has increased a lot, but so have the tax credits to help pay for it…..

Raymond says people have until December 15th to sign up for coverage to begin on January first.
