Wayne State standout Michaela Dendinger has earned a weekly award in track from the Northern Sun Conference.

– Unleashed a season best and NCAA DII leading throw in the shot put at the Jim Dutcher Memorial Open
– The NCAA Automatic mark of 16.52m (54-2 .5) set a new stadium record
– Bettered the NCAA automatic qualifying mark in the hammer throw with a mark of 61.35m (201-3) to place first as the top collegiate thrower
– Won the discus with a NCAA provisional mark of 50.32m (165-1)
– This NSIC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week Honor extends Dendinger’s streak to ten as she won all six NSIC Field Athlete of the Week honors during the 2017 season and now four in 2018
