The clean-up continues in Delmont, South Dakota, where a tornado ruined many buildings on May 10th. The Department of Public Safety says the town will be closed to foot and vehicle traffic today and tomorrow as heavy equipment and trailers will be used to haul debris out of town. They are closing the town for safety reasons.
Also closed today and Thursday will be the Volunteer Reception Center. It will reopen on Friday at 8:00 am and on Saturday at 8 am at the baseball field on the south end of town. Volunteers have been asked to enter on Highway 18.
The Donations Management Center at the American Legion Hall in Delmont will remain open every day until 6:00 pm.
